The Class of 2004 was the first Academy class to have members that started in high school and were trained and then placed for college. A wide range of abilities and personalities were represented. Some of the members had great college soccer careers, and others chose to pursue other opportunities in life. All of them turned into amazing adults and ended with exceptional educations. They make us proud as our first class that came out of high school.

Corey became a member of the Academy back in 2002. He was among the best combination of academic student and goalkeepers the Academy has ever had. Corey grew up in the Louisville, Kentucky area of the Midwest. He attended Dupont Manual High School where he was an honor student, Rhode Scholar, and an All-Region basketball player. Because of mediocre coaching situation, Corey played football instead of soccer. As a club player, Corey had one of the best careers of any Academy member. Corey’s club team won six straight Kentucky State Championships and made the Region III finals twice. They were also a powerhouse in all the nation’s top tournaments. Corey was a three year member of the Kentucky State ODP team and a one year member of the Region III ODP team. After graduating from high school with honors and an SAT score among the highest in the Academy's history, Corey chose to attend nationally ranked and academically prestigious Stevens Institute of Technology in the New York City area over such schools as Princeton, Georgetown, and George Washington etc. Corey attended Stevens on a full academic scholarship. With Corey in goal, Stevens won four Conference Championships and went to four NCAA Tournament “Sweet 16s.” In that time, Corey was named to four All-Conference Academic teams. Corey graduated with honors with a degree in Business Technology and Economics. Corey took a position at UBS in wealth management. As a senior associate at UBS, he led a tax remediation team and worked on bringing the firm’s credit card business in house. The more Corey worked with UBS’s in-house counsel, the greater his interest became in the legal aspects of the work. He decided to join his two other brothers at New York University School of Law. Corey graduated from NYU Law School and now works as a lawyer in mergers and acquisitions and he resides in New York City with his charming wife.
