Madison Mertsch
Maddie joined the Academy in the Spring of 2013. She is a member of the Virginia State ODP team. Maddie currently plays for a Richmond Strikers ECNL club team. Before that, Maddie played up an age group for one of the top ranked club teams in Virginia, the Richmond Kickers Elite 97G. She made the Varsity soccer team at Douglas Freeman High School as a freshman. She also plays futsal and was an original member of the Own Touch Futsal Academy. Outside of goalkeeping, Maddie is passionate about music and recently made a select choral ensemble at Freeman HS. She is also active in martial arts and parkour. Maddie is an honor roll student and a member of the Key Club.
