Cory has been a member of the Academy One since 2008. He was one of the first members of the Class of 2012. In an Academy where every member is an excellent athlete, Cory is one of the most athletic, as well as an excellent student. He has been a member of his high school varsity team, starting from his freshmen year. In his senior year he was named All-County at a school with very little soccer history. He is also an honor student and an accomplished distance runner. As a club player, Cory's team made the State Cup semi-finals in 2009. In 2010, Cory left his then current club team to join one of the top teams in the region (Where he was teammates with Class of 2011 member Nate Ramsland). They finished second in the Region I Colonial League and moved on to finish impressively in the Region I Premier League. They also have an impressive record in the top tournaments around the country. In the Spring of 2011, Cory's team won the Maryland State Cup Championship and lost in the regional finals in overtime. They continue to be one of the top club teams in the nation (He is also teammates with Academy Class of 2012 member Kyle Forbes). At the beginning of Cory's senior year of high school, he accepted a scholarship to play soccer and attend Charleston University. Charleston is a NCAA Division II national power located in West Virginia. He is projected to make an immediate impact upon his arrival.
